Tranquil Textures




We are having a buy 3 get 1 free paper sale right now. It will end on the 31st of July. I wanted to take a moment and showcase one of the papers from the Tranquil Textures Designer Series Paper. I thought it was a perfect match to the Hold Onto Hope card I made. The colors found in the paper as a whole are Balmy Blue, Crumb Cake, Fresh Fig, Mint Macaron, Night of Navy , Soft Sea Foam, Tranquil Tide and Whisper White. I made the envelope using my envelope punch board. I like that board because I can make an envelope in any size. At times my cards are not the standard size and this gives me the freedom to be creative.

  I am trying to challenge myself. So I have decided to participate in the card/color challenges you would see around the web. One blog I found that had a color challenge was this. Stylin' Stampin Inspiration You can find more info if you follow the link. The color scheme they had was Rich Razzleberry, Hello Honey and Calypso Coral. This is what I came up with. I used the Four Feather Stamp Set from the Holiday Catalog as well as the framelits that you can get in a bundle. I also used Blended Bloom and colored it with Calypso Coral Blendabilities.  In the picture of the 2 cards I had done that card for Creative Challenge Club .   Lately,I have been on a kick to participate in challenges. I am finding that I am enjoying the color challenges the best. This is the card that I made for Pals Paper Arts . This challenge closes tomorrow Sept 9th at 9:00 am PST. If your wanting to join you still have time! The colors they called for was Blackberry Bliss, Hello Honey and Crumb Cake. I am really enjoying playing with my For All Things stamp set and Color me Autumn.  You can find those in the Holiday Catalog. Gingham Garden Box

I meet once a month with a group of ladies to scrapbook. We work on our own projects or someone will teach us something. Last night we were taught how to make boxes. After I made the box that they provided I decided to do my own version with Stampin’ Up! supplies. This would be a fun box to put a gift in or to keep some cards in. The material I used was Gingham Garden DSP ( 129310 $10.95) Midnight Muse Stampin’ Write Marker. (You can get a pack of the 2012-2014 pack of In Colors for $14.95 126856) and the new In Color 2013-2015 Card Stock. Working with paper and what you can do with it is endless!
