Stamp A Stack Cards

Image
This past weekend I participated in a local demonstrator's Stamp A Stack event. I like going because I enjoy the interaction and the challenge to use products in a different way that I may not have thought about. For example, coloring the background with the Botanical Butterfly DSP from Saleabration with our Stampin' Blends. Most of these products are from our SAB catalog and Occasions catalog. I wanted to remind you this is the last week for you to be able to take advantage of our SAB products as they go away after the 31st. The Occasions items are good till the end of May or as supplies last. Down below you will find a list of most of the items used in the cards. Thank you for stopping by!

Weekly Challenge with Luv 2 Stamp

Image
As many of you know I belong to a Stampin' Up! group called Luv 2 Stamp. Lately we have been doing weekly challenges there. It is fairly new In fact this is only the 3rd week. I didn't participate in the very first one but I did in the last 2. I thought I would take a moment to share what I did for last week and this week. I included the sketch that was our inspiration for this week. I didn't think I was a challenge person but I have found they have been giving me inspiration and I am trying to make more time to create.  What do you do or look for when you want to be inspired to create? Sidenote: I wanted to remind you that certain In Colors will be retiring soon. I used Lemon Lime Twist in my Happy Spring card and those are one of the colors that is going away in the end of May or as supplies last.

SAB Cards

Image
I wanted to remind you that you have 2 weeks before SALEABRATION 2019 is done. I wanted to showcase what cards you could make with the items that you got from the SAB catalog as well as items from the Occasions and Annual Catalog. It felt really good to take some time out and create. I feel like I am a slow crafter at times so this was a big accomplishment for me.  I actually was inspired to do this as my upline gave us a challenge for the month of March to use our SAB goodies. The last card was a challenge to use green for a feeling lucky random draw. Down below you will find most of the products I used to make these cards. I also wanted to mention the card that I made using the Country Floral Folder was colored with our Stampin' Blends.

Dear Doily

Image
I love the look of doilies and was very happy when Stampin' Up! came out with a stamp set and dies. I got my inspiration to make these cards from our Occasions catalog. I love how intricate the doilies are. One tip I'd offer is to use your take your pick if you have that tool to take out all the little pieces of paper. It makes life a lot easier.

Hello Cupcake

Image
I have been talking to you guys about the recent craft retreat I went on. While I was there I got to work with a Saleabration Stamp Set called Hello Cupcake. I have some birthdays coming up and this stamp set was a life saver as well as cute! I challenged myself as I had limited supplies with me and had to use what I had. Netherless, it was still fun to create. Remember if you have a $50 dollar order and place it by the end of March you can get this set free! A lot of our items have been so popular they are no longer available. But last I checked we still had this. We do have a die that goes with the cupcake for sale. I don't remember the name off hand but you will find that information down below. I also wanted to remind you that the 2017-19 in colors will be retiring soon. The coloring of the cupcakes were done with those colors.

February's Paper Pumpkin Kit

Image
I know it's only been 2 months into the new year but this is my favorite Paper Pumpkin Kit this year. I do have a thing for succulents and this kit in particular made me very happy. I didn't change up the directions that the kit gives you when you receive one. The only thing that I changed was I didn't use the bakers twine that came with the kit as making bows stresses me out. Lol. I also wanted to remind you if you are not a subscriber yet and become one by March 10th in your March kit you will receive a free stamp set to celebrate their 6th birthday. If you'd like to subscribe you can do so here.  Paper Pumpkin  when they ask who your demonstrator is I would love it if you would put me down Melinda Hoover. Thank You so much!

Crafting Retreat

Image
I went to a crafting retreat that a fellow demonstrator put on this past weekend. I thought I would take a few minutes and share with you all the projects that we made. We learned all about water coloring and the different techniques behind all of that. We spritzed and used our aqua painter. I personally like using the aqua painter best because I felt like I had more control of my project that way. Most of the product we used can be found in our occasions catalog or it was a free item from Saleabration. What I thought was nice that near the end of the night this demonstrator gave us all a free stamp set of our choosing that was on our table. The stamps that we were able to choose were from the projects we worked on earlier in the day. I chose the tea pot set and that is the stamp set I used in the tea pot card you see previously. We also heat embossed with a watercolor background.

Valentine Cards and Envelopes

Image
Remember the card buffett I went too? The first 2 pictures are of the cards I made from the material I got there. I also was in need of envelopes of the cards I made for my husband. We will be celebrating 18 years of marriage on Thursday. I made 2 cards to celebrate our anniversary and Valentine's. I love the dsp it is so pretty. I will have to be creative and see what else I can do with the paper once Valentine's is over.

Valentine Treats and Cards

Image
I went to a local crop yesterday. While I was there I finally finished the treat pillows that was part of the January Paper Pumpkin. I was able to make 24 and I had extra die cuts that I can turn into cards if I wanted too. So I might be ahead for next year's Valentine time. I also made 2 cards for my husband. Valentine's Day is also my anniversary and we will be celebrating 18 years. Wow! I wanted to make 2 seperate cards to acknowledge our anniversary and Valentine's Day. I made these cards with product from our Occasion catalog. If you need one and not working with a demonstrator please let me know and I will be happy to send you one! Do you do anything special for Valentine's or do we share the same anniversary? Let me know!

Stamp A Stack Cards

Image
A couple of weeks ago I went to a fellow demonstrator event. She had put on a Stamp a Stack Card event. I had the chance to make 6 cards but I couldn't decide what my last 2 cards would be so these are the 4 that I made while there. But I did end up taking home a couple cards that used the items from January's Paper Pumpkin kit. All of the material to make these cards are found in our Occasions and SAB catalogs. If you are in need of one and are not working with a demonstrator please let me know and I will be happy to send you one if you are not local.

Forever Lovely

Image
I needed to make a quick card so I used products from the All My Love suite found in the Occasion catalog. I got the card inspiration from there also. I really do love working with suite products because they all go together. I think the All My Love dsp is so pretty! I hope you have a lovely weekend.
