One of my favorite things in life is to see when someone is truly surprised. Not a hiding-behind-the-door “boo!”-type surprise, but genuine, excited surprise. I can’t count how many times my eyes have welled up with tears watching viral videos—of soldiers coming home, or of little ones being told they are headed to Disneyland. (Fill-in-the-blank with your favorite surprise!) So . . . I’m happy to be able to surprise YOU by announcing that starting today we will be running a “weekly deal” program.
Starting on Tuesday, October 8, we will update the online store with a few weekly deals for you to enjoy. You’ll want to make sure you check back every week to see what we’re offering.   I am trying to challenge myself. So I have decided to participate in the card/color challenges you would see around the web. One blog I found that had a color challenge was this. Stylin' Stampin Inspiration You can find more info if you follow the link. The color scheme they had was Rich Razzleberry, Hello Honey and Calypso Coral. This is what I came up with. I used the Four Feather Stamp Set from the Holiday Catalog as well as the framelits that you can get in a bundle. I also used Blended Bloom and colored it with Calypso Coral Blendabilities.  In the picture of the 2 cards I had done that card for Creative Challenge Club .   Lately,I have been on a kick to participate in challenges. I am finding that I am enjoying the color challenges the best. This is the card that I made for Pals Paper Arts . This challenge closes tomorrow Sept 9th at 9:00 am PST. If your wanting to join you still have time! The colors they called for was Blackberry Bliss, Hello Honey and Crumb Cake. I am really enjoying playing with my For All Things stamp set and Color me Autumn.  You can find those in the Holiday Catalog. If you are in need of one please let me know and I will be happy to send you one.  I liked the double stamp look. I think that is what it is called even though it was two different stamps and not the same one. If you’d like to try your hand in making this here’s the supply list. Gingham Garden Box

I meet once a month with a group of ladies to scrapbook. We work on our own projects or someone will teach us something. Last night we were taught how to make boxes. After I made the box that they provided I decided to do my own version with Stampin’ Up! supplies. This would be a fun box to put a gift in or to keep some cards in. The material I used was Gingham Garden DSP ( 129310 $10.95) Midnight Muse Stampin’ Write Marker. (You can get a pack of the 2012-2014 pack of In Colors for $14.95 126856) and the new In Color 2013-2015 Card Stock. Working with paper and what you can do with it is endless!
