  Yes, I realize I am a day late as Father’s Day was yesterday. But I didn’t want to post this until I had given it to my husband. Yesterday was a busy day for us so now is the first chance that I got to accomplish this. I had a difficult time coming up with a Father’s Day card as I don’t have a lot of masculine stamps. But I knew I had this Navigation dsp that is now retired and the Sail Away stamp that had a tendency to go with the paper. I ended up not using the Sail Away stamp. On a side note if you are interested in the navigation look there is still the stamp The Open Sea (w $26.95 128454 c $18.95) I sat down to see what I could create. I looked at the paper first to see what I could come up with. I did look at Retro Sketches to see if it would help me get inspired. The end result was this. I ended up fussy cutting the anchor from the dsp. I used Linen Thread ($4.50 104199 in natural)  to emphasize the rope that was on the anchor. Backing it up with Basic Black ($6...

I meet once a month with a group of ladies to scrapbook. We work on our own projects or someone will teach us something. Last night we were taught how to make boxes. After I made the box that they provided I decided to do my own version with Stampin’ Up! supplies. This would be a fun box to put a gift in or to keep some cards in. The material I used was Gingham Garden DSP ( 129310 $10.95) Midnight Muse Stampin’ Write Marker. (You can get a pack of the 2012-2014 pack of In Colors for $14.95 126856) and the new In Color 2013-2015 Card Stock. Working with paper and what you can do with it is endless!

The other day it was my brother in law’s birthday. In being a cardmarker of course I had to make him a card. So this is what I came up with. I thought I did a pretty good job in it. I used mostly retired product. The dsp is Sycamore Street from Salebration this year. So if you have any left in your stash you could always make a mat for your card. The stamp is also from Salebration and is the Feeling Sentimental set. The ink is Midnight Muse. ( 126860 $5.95) I inked the embossing folder Honeycomb ( 129378 $7.95) I picked the telephone box in particular as my brother in law is a Doctor Who fan. My upline Patty Bennett issued a challenge for us to make frame art with a new dsp from the  new catalog that just came out. This was my take on it. I had a lot fun with it and it wasn’t hard at all. I may very well make more once I get new dsp!  I used Gingham Garden, Cardstock is Strawberry Slush and I also used rhinestones and Washi Tape from Gingham Garden I also used the 1 1/4 punch and Postage punch put all in a 5x7 frame. Another one I made with the same dsp Gingham Garden and Washi Tape. I also used Pistachio Pudding, Strawberry Slush, Coastal Cabana, Crisp Cantalope marker and Pistachio Pudding cardstock. This time this picture was put in a 4x6 frame. The punch I used was our 1 3/4 circle punch. Thank you for stopping by and I hope this has inspired you to try your hand in this!
