MDS Card Shares

Image
I am still learning my way around MDS. The thing that I love about MDS is that you can have them do all the work for you. That is what I did in this case. The congrats card is actually from  a wedding ensemble but I thought the sentiment would work just as well as a graduation card. You most likely have seen the comfort card as I had to make one last month or so. I changed it up a little by adding some bling. Hope you find time in your day for creating and thank you for stopping by! Reminder: Spring catalog ends this Friday the 31st and our NEW year catalog goes live. If you need a catalog please let me know. Also any retiring items you would like goes away on June 3rd!  If you’d like to check my online store please go here. Shop here!

Cousin Love!

Image
My sister and her family will be moving in less than two weeks. States away. We have never really been apart except the year I lived in DE with my Dad and the year I went to college in AR before she joined me. So needless to say I am sad about this. Being the scrapbooker I am I found myself wanting to do layouts that had her kids and mine in it. The pictures were taken in Feb 2012. Most of the products used are retired. I didn’t realize what a paper hoarder I had been. It has felt good to get the pretty papers out and create these layouts. Because I have so many pictures I like using in my layouts I tend to be simple in design. I hope this has inspired you to scrapbook or begin if you haven’t started. If I can be of any help please let me know! Reminder: The last day to order from the Spring Catalog is May 30th. The new 2013-2014 catalog goes live May 31st. The old catalog 2012-2013 can be ordered until June 3rd 2013. Thanks for stopping by!

Paper Pumpkin May Kit!

Image
I absolutely love this month’s kit! Being a scrapbooker at heart this is right up my alley! Everything you see here came with the kit except the pictures, pen, and adhesive. I did use the postage stamp punch but that is a Stampin’ Up! punch just not in the kit. I did a little book about my son doing swimming lessons around this time in 2009. If you would like to give Paper Pumpkin a try you can do so here.  https://mypaperpumpkin.com?demoid=2091693 Remember it’s a surprise every month! Thanks for looking!

Birthday Cards!

Image
May is a busy month for me! Both of my sisters and my son celebrate their birthdays in that month. So I made them birthday cards. I thought it would be easier to make my sisters cards the same just flipping the use of color cardstock. All the products from their cards are from Stampin’ Up! The Happy Birthdays from a retired Hostess set.  Rich Razzleberry and Early Espresso are still current as the other products on the cards are now retired. My son is a big Dragon Ball Z fan. I didn’t know how I could duplicate that with Stampin’ Up products. So I got the image off of the internet. But the Seriously stamp is from the April Paper Pumpkin kit. I also used the Summerfruit cardstock as a base for the card. The pictures were taken with my phone. Not bad I don ‘t think. But I didn’t realize I did a bad shot of the cards and I already gave the cards to my sisters when I saw them. Anyways, thanks for stopping by and I hope you find time in your day to be creative!

Organizing Tips

Image
I go up and down when it comes to organizing . Today I decided to do a couple of different things with my color coach and the way I store my big shot folders and the like. Maybe they will be a help to you. I posted these on my face book and wanted to share it with you all. This is what I had to say. With the new colors coming in at the end of the month wanted a better way to store #colorcoach #stampinup so I am trying a key ring method. #melscreativecreations I also wanted to find a way to store my #bigshot #embossingfolders #framelits etc so trying a memory box instead of the freezer bag I was using. I am hoping this will give me a better visual to use my stuff #stampinup #melscreativecreations Thanks for stopping by!

Sharing Scrapbook Layouts *Picture Heavy*

Image
Last night I had the chance to do some scrapbooking. This is big for me as I have had a hard time picking up scrapbooking in a steady pace since my mother passed away in 2011. Stampin’ Up! is known as a stamping company. But I am a scrapbooker at heart. I wanted to show that it is still possible to make scrapbook layouts with a company such as this. Some of the products I used in these layouts are a mix of current product and retired. Here are some of the things I used. Gumball Green Card Stock Print Poetry DSP Feel Goods Stamp Set Floral District DSP Primerose Petals Sent With Love DSP Flirtatious DSP Concord Crush Ink   I wanted to encourage you if you have never tried scrapbooking before to give it a try. I think its very important to record family history. Whether it is in a Project Life style. Traditional or Digital. I believe getting your stories told is important in keeping your family history.   The layouts I worked on was from last summer. It was about our chu

Bold Blossom

I did this for a challenge. I had to use four things that started with a B. Here are the four things that I had. Bold Blossom Stamp Set Brads Butterfly Bravo Burgundy card stock and Ink Floral District DSP but the color used was Baja Breeze Other things used were River Rock Card stock and Ink Baja Breeze Ink Most of these items that I used are retired or in the process of retiring in the end of May. I believe we are still keeping Baja Breeze but I can’t recall right this minute. If you would like to see where I got the challenge idea from head over here. http://www.vcrocks.blogspot.com/2013/05/2013-weekly-challenge-01.html Thanks for looking!
