Happy Birthday to my Love!

Image
Today’s my husband’s birthday. I just wanted to share how you can use ‘Christmas’ paper to make a birthday card.  And also to wish you and yours a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! Thanks for your support and coming to see me here. May 2014 be a blessed year for you! Here are some things I used. Envelope Punch Board Rhinestones Winter Frost DSP Teeny Tiny Wishes *And yes I realize the cupcake says 431. It was suppose to represent 44 since we didn’t have another 4 candle.

What to do with Scraps

Image
We all love paper right? That’s why we like to do things with paper, right? But what to do with the small scraps of paper you don’t know what to do with? Well I thought I’d try my hand and experiment. This is what I came up with atc which stands for artist trading card and sunburst cards. I have made sunburst cards before and in fact shared them here with the Gingham Garden dsp we have. So I decided to make Christmas sunburst  cards with the left over paper I had when I was done making regular Christmas cards. I really like the effect and they were fun to make. Each month I meet with a group of ladies that I paper craft with. This month we had a cookie exchange. One of the ladies gave me a atc. I was intriguied. I had heard of them before. But never seen one in person. Your working with a small canvas as it has to be 2.5 by 3.5 and it has to have a cardboard backing to truly be a atc. That’s the only ‘rule’ in atc. I can see why atc’s and sunburst cards can be addicting. Have yo

Christmas Boutique Shares

Image
I have been having a lot of fun making things for a Christmas Boutique my church will be putting on. This is my first time participating. I shared these pictures on my facebook and Instagram. So I thought I’d share them here. I have been using retired product to make my envelopes. But I  also have been using product you can get from the Holiday Catalog such as the mini muslin bags and calm christmas stamp set. Other things I have used is the Christmas Star stamp set and the Snowflake Soiree as well as the Evergreen stamp set. I also used dazzling details on the bags to give them bling even though  I don’t think the picture picks it up. What things have you been creating for Christmas?

Calm Christmas Treat Bags

Hello Everyone! I think I need to stop telling you guys to stop by a certain day for the samples. I try to follow a schedule but the reality is I am a go with the flow kind of person. I have been busy creating though! My church is putting on a Christmas Boutique on Dec 7th. So if your local please come by. I will be there from 10:00am to 1:00pm. I have been making envelopes for the Christmas cards I have made. In fact let me just show you what I’ve been up too. I don’t remember when but my upline Patty Bennett   had a stocking class. I finally decided to finish it up. I am thinking of making a garland with it. Than with retired Christmas paper I decided to make tags with it so that people can use it as to and from tags for the gifts they have bought. I used retired brads to hold the papers together. And of course my Christmas card envelopes. Those were also made with retired paper. But you didn’t come here for me to prattle about retired products and the like. In the pictures a

Hello Lovely!

Image
I know, I know, I said to come back Friday for another share and here it is Saturday. But as we all know real life gets in the way. Well that’s my story and I’m sticking to it! Anyways, I wanted to show a card I made using the Hello Lovely stamp set. (130240 W) (130243 C) This is my attempt at casing a card that can be seen in the main catalog on page 22. If you don’t have a catalog and would want one please let me know and I will be happy to send you one!  I stamped in Gumball Green Ink (126861) and Basic Grey. (126981) The ribbon is one of our chevron ribbon in Basic Black. (130010) I made this card for a pounding I went to, to welcome our new administrate pastor and family. Here is a definition of what a pounding is.  A "Pounding" party is a time-honored tradition, born out of friends and neighbors welcoming newcomers into their community by gifting them with non-perishable foods to stock their pantry, such as, a "pound" of sugar, a "pound" of flo

Magnificent Maple Share #4

Image
This is a picture heavy post but I wanted to show you what you could do with Magnificent Maple (131868) Sweater Weather DSP (132184) and Burlap Ribbon (132140) A quick reminder that the Burlap Ribbon is on sale this week! As some of you know I homeschool my kids. We belong to a co-op and we recently had a harvest day. I had the kids make harvest cards and I used the Magnificent Maple stamp to make the cards with as well as stamps that were not Stampin’ Up! related. In being a Homeschooler I choose to school thru a charter school. As a result I have a certified teacher come to my house once a month to check in with us and to see how we are getting along with school work and to answer any questions we may have. It was my teacher’s birthday the last time she visited us and I wanted to make a birthday card for her. So I used the Magnificent Maple stamp, Sweater Weather dsp, Burlap ribbon and the Chevron Border  Punch (132154) The envelope was made with our board punch and retired

Evergreen with Silver

Image
Here I am with another share with you! This time I used the Evergreen Christmas stamp (127973) that is on our carryover list. I used the silver ink (132142) I mentioned before. I really do love this combination. I have not made this into anything yet. But I am figuring that this stamp set and the ink will make elegant Christmas cards. Silent night is one of my favorite Christmas songs. So I was glad to see that they had this in a stamp set.  We first saw this stamp set last year. It is the main reason why I bought the stamp set. I use to sing this song to myself when I was little  no matter the season when it was night and rainy out. This song also reminds me of my Mom who I had lost in April of 2011. Do you have a stamp set you bought for a sentimental reason? Or do you have a song that reminds you of a special someone? Thank you for stopping by. Remember to come back on Tuesday Nov 12th. I will have another share for you!

Calm Christmas

Image
1. 2. 3. I am back with my 2nd share. I am going to try to blog my shares on Tuesdays and Fridays as Katina Martinez who is also the other guest stamper for the month of November will be sharing what she has done on Mondays and Thursdays. I didn’t wan to bombard everyone in our group by sharing on the same day. So I thought I’d off set when I did mine. These products can be found in the Holiday catalog. The dove is from the Calm Christmas stamp set.(132739) C (132736) W  I had a get together a couple weeks back where we used the Merry Little Christmas Simply Created Card Kit.(132158) I was playing around with the Calm Christmas stamp set and this is what I came up with. The final result is shown in the #3 picture. I really love the Metallic Encore Pad that is found in the Holiday Catalog. I had gotten the silver one (132142) but plan on getting the gold one(132141) soon as the Holiday Catalog goes away on January 2, 2014. In the #1 picture you can see where I had inked the stamps

Merry Little Christmas

Image
Last Saturday I had a group of ladies over to work on the Merry Little Christmas Simply Created Card Kit. I went ahead and got the bundle which came with the Merry Little Christmas Stamp Set. Here’s the bundle number W-131826 C 131829. I thought I’d share the samples I made to showcase what you can do with this kit. In the first picture the one without the sweater trim is the basic card you can make with the kit. I added my own special touch by adding the sweater trim from last year’s holiday kit as well as a retired stamp set in the 2nd picture. It was a lot of fun to make these cards and a chance to be with those that like to create. Christmas is 2 months away. Are you ready? Thanks for stopping by!
