Tranquil Textures Part 2

Image
The other day I showed you all the Tranquil Textures designer series paper. I wanted to showcase how the paper looks when you make cards with it. I do not have the Sea of Textures stamp set so I used a retired stamp set. I love how these cards came out. It reminds me of summer and being on the beach. I got the inspiration for the cards in our annual catalog.

Tranquil Textures

We are having a buy 3 get 1 free paper sale right now. It will end on the 31st of July. I wanted to take a moment and showcase one of the papers from the Tranquil Textures Designer Series Paper. I thought it was a perfect match to the Hold Onto Hope card I made. The colors found in the paper as a whole are Balmy Blue, Crumb Cake, Fresh Fig, Mint Macaron, Night of Navy , Soft Sea Foam, Tranquil Tide and Whisper White. I made the envelope using my envelope punch board. I like that board because I can make an envelope in any size. At times my cards are not the standard size and this gives me the freedom to be creative.

"Fall" Spectrum Pad Cards

Image
The other day I shared with you how to make your own ink pad with your own colors. This was the end result of the spectrum pad I used. I used the Enjoy Life and Sheltering Tree stamp sets. The card stock was Crushed Curry and Pumpkin Pie. These colors do put me in the mood for Fall! So I think this is a good name that I gave my spectrum pad. I am looking forward to making more. I will share here when I do so. Down below you will find a list of the products I used to make these cards. Enjoy!

Making Your Own Ink Pad Colors

Image
I would have easily overlooked this in our annual catalog. It was actually my upline that talked to us about the spectrum pad and making your own color combos. Then I saw the video from Sarah Douglass our CEO from Stampin' Up! and I was hooked and I wanted to play along to. I decided to experiment with the reinkers I had on hand. I did have to buy 2 colors though as the reinkers I had in general were for retired colors. Yes, I am bad about buying reinkers when I buy a new ink pad. That will change from now on though! The colors I chose are from the Regals collection in the catalog. When I was putting the colors together it dawned on me that these colors reminded me of fall. That is the name I gave for this particular pad. I already have a list for my next order and I can't wait to see what colors I can come up with or be inspired by. My question to you is have you played with a spectrum pad and reinkers? If so what color combos did you come up with? I would love to hear

DIY Notebooks

I am a planner girl. Any other planner girls out there? With our Designer Series Paper sale going on right now I wanted to experiment and think outside of the box of what I could do when my dsp order comes in besides making cards and scrapbook pages. I remember seeing videos on Youtube about traveler notebook inserts. So I thought I'd play around with what I had and see what I came up with. This was the result. I am also a paper hoarder and I have a hard time letting it go. So I thought this would be a perfect opportunity to do that. The first picture the paper I used was a paper pad I had gotten from Michaels and the 2nd picture is retired paper but still useable. I also wanted a different way to tell my story ( I am foremost a scrapbooker at heart). I love putting down my family history but sometimes for me it gets stagnate doing the scrap pages the same way day in and out. I had seen people doing scrapbook layouts in traveler notebooks so this is my take on it. I am not s

Envelopes with Cards

Image
Remember a while back when I was making all those cards? The one thing I didn't do was make envelopes to go with the cards until now. I like to make the envelopes once I know I am sending out a card or handing one to a person. I like making my own envelopes instead of relying on standard ones as at times my cards are different sizes then what a typical envelope would be. Most of the products I used are retired. But hopefully this post encourages you to use up your stash and shows you how you can still make pretty envelopes even if they are out dated. What items you can still find at my  Online Store  I will have down below. Thank you for stopping by!
