Remember a while back when I was making all those cards? The one thing I didn't do was make envelopes to go with the cards until now. I like to make the envelopes once I know I am sending out a card or handing one to a person. I like making my own envelopes instead of relying on standard ones as at times my cards are different sizes then what a typical envelope would be. Most of the products I used are retired. But hopefully this post encourages you to use up your stash and shows you how you can still make pretty envelopes even if they are out dated. Its never to early to think about Christmas! I have been making an attempt to showcase items that are retiring. This stamp set and punch are both still available.  In fact the punch is on a discount! I didn't totally case this card but I was inspired by looking at the annual catalog of 2017-18. Our new catalog goes live on June 1st. There are a lot of exciting items coming your way soon. We're saying goodbye to retiring products from the holiday catalog; but before we do, we're giving everyone an opportunity to order their favorites. Retiring products will only be available until January 4, or while supplies last, so now's a great time to contact your customers and let them know to order them before they're gone! June 2 is the last day to buy downloads or place print orders with the 30 percent discount. After June 2, Stampin' Up! will no longer sell anything related to the My Digital Studio product line. On June 2, all Online Store categories will be replaced with new categories in support of the 2015-2016 annual catalog. The new categories will contain new and carryover items in the 2015-2016 annual catalog. All other items, including the MDS software and digital downloads, will be searchable and orderable, but not categorized. June 9 is the last day that Stampin' Up! will support the My Digital Studio product line. After June 9, all of the MDS websites will be taken down. That list includes MyDigitalStudio.net, related content on the stampinup.com demonstrator website, the download manager, YouTube videos, Facebook, and Pinterest. I have been really bad about posting on my blog. When I have a few minutes in my day I tend to post things on my facebook or Instagram. Anyways, I am participating in a Monthly card exchange. For the month of April we were suppose to use butterflies and this was my take on it. I used mostly retired product. But this goes to show you can still make beautiful things with what you have in your stash. The only thing that wasn't Stampin' Up related were the jewels I used to bling the cards up with. What have you created lately? Are you taking advantage of National Scrapbooking Day today? 

The other day it was my brother in law’s birthday. In being a cardmarker of course I had to make him a card. So this is what I came up with. I thought I did a pretty good job in it. I used mostly retired product. The dsp is Sycamore Street from Salebration this year. So if you have any left in your stash you could always make a mat for your card. The stamp is also from Salebration and is the Feeling Sentimental set. The ink is Midnight Muse. ( 126860 $5.95) I inked the embossing folder Honeycomb ( 129378 $7.95) I picked the telephone box in particular as my brother in law is a Doctor Who fan. Its not quite the Tardis but it’s close enough. Thanks for looking and have a creative day!

My sister and her family will be moving in less than two weeks. States away. We have never really been apart except the year I lived in DE with my Dad and the year I went to college in AR before she joined me. So needless to say I am sad about this. Being the scrapbooker I am I found myself wanting to do layouts that had her kids and mine in it. The pictures were taken in Feb 2012. Most of the products used are retired. I didn’t realize what a paper hoarder I had been. It has felt good to get the pretty papers out and create these layouts. Because I have so many pictures I like using in my layouts I tend to be simple in design. I hope this has inspired you to scrapbook or begin if you haven’t started. May is a busy month for me! Both of my sisters and my son celebrate their birthdays in that month. So I made them birthday cards. I thought it would be easier to make my sisters cards the same just flipping the use of color cardstock. All the products from their cards are from Stampin’ Up! The Happy Birthdays from a retired Hostess set.  Rich Razzleberry and Early Espresso are still current as the other products on the cards are now retired. My son is a big Dragon Ball Z fan. I didn’t know how I could duplicate that with Stampin’ Up products. So I got the image off of the internet. But the Seriously stamp is from the April Paper Pumpkin kit. I also used the Summerfruit cardstock as a base for the card. The pictures were taken with my phone. Not bad I don ‘t think. But I didn’t realize I did a bad shot of the cards and I already gave the cards to my sisters when I saw them. Anyways, thanks for stopping by and I hope you find time in your day to be creative!

I just wanted to share what I got in my Stampin' Up! order yesterday. I took advantage of the free shipping offer that took place last week. I love color so I took advantage of getting the colors that are retiring when the new catalog comes out in the end of May. Except for the Basic Black card stock I had gotten as I had run out of that color when I had  made those mask cards for my daughter's prom.   Remember the retired list for stamps and accessories will be out next Wednesday the 24th. Due to unforeseen problems with our supplier for Watercolor Wonder Crayons and Watercolor Pencils, we have decided to discontinue these two products. Watercolor Pencils (item 101879) and Watercolor Wonder Crayons Brights Collection (item 119804), which have been on the Backorder Report for about a week, will no longer be available, effective immediately. If your order has not been shipped due to its status in backorder, we will not be able to fill it. We will soon begin processing refunds for these items. Thank You for looking! * I was bad and didn’t get some of our more recent valentine sets that we still have in our big and spring catalog. So I worked with what I had. *

One of the many reasons that I love stampin' up! is the charity they do. this stamp set is retired but is called strength and hope. stampin up gave $2 back to breast cancer research for every stamp sold. My mom didn't die from that but from pancreatic cancer. cancer is cancer and I thought making this card was apporiate because I will be doing relay for life on august 11th. the colors used was concord crush, tangerine tango, and daffodil delight i used the color coach to put the colors together and the new piercing tool for the outlining of the scallop circle.

Its a bad picture but I used the triple treat stamp (retired) and teeny tiny wshes.and our fun pleated satin ribbon. the card says friend to friend
