I originally started playing with this stamp set that can be found in our holiday catalog to participate in a couple of color challenges. I believe I missed the cut off date for the challenges but wanted to still share what I was thinking and creating. I haven’t made these fronts into cards yet. I will try and remember to share the finished result when I finally decide how I will finish them off. This was my first time working with Stampin’ Up! Photopolymer stamps and I love it! I do have a Project Life set from Stampin’ Up! but haven’t played with it yet. What have you created that was out of your comfort zone? If you are interested in knowing what I used to make these colorful card fronts the list is below. Thank you so much for stopping by!   Built for Free Using: My Stampin Blog

World Card Making Day!

How did you spend it? I got to spend a lovely afternoon with good friends and getting creative. This is a Project Life app  layout of all that we did. I made 2 cards and tags. My cards is the Hello Fall one and the Four Feathers one. I love being able to get together with friends and fellowshipping as well as getting a chance to get the creative juices flowing.  If you are interested in knowing what I used to make my cards you can find that information below.   I took advantage of the Stamp Stock & Save Sale that ends tomorrow (10-6-14). Out of curiosity I was wondering how many inkpads I didn’t have and it was 12 pads. In the first picture it is a picture of my current collection. The 2nd picture is of the retired colors I had. Down below you will see what colors I bought in this sale. Are you or did you take advantage of the sale?   Built for Free Using: My Stampin Blog

Fun with Tags!

Image
I was asked by my church’s children ministry to make tags for them for a upcoming training. This is how it turned out. I thought it would look nicer if I put all the pictures together. I used the new Becky Higgins Project Life App to do that. I plan on printing my layouts with MDS so I will likely print this one to. It will make my memory keeping easier to keep up.  The last picture is of just the aftermath of outlining 65+ tags.  What special projects have you worked on lately? Nacho Average Challenge #106

Image
I decided to join this challenge this week. NAC #106 Like I have said earlier I really like color challenges. So its no surprise that I joined this one. The colors we were to use was Coastal Cabana, Daffodil Delight and Crisp Cantaloupe. I used Daffodil Delight in the cardstock. The Coastal Cabana in the dsp and the ink, the stamp from Teeny Tiny Wishes. I colored the dsp with Crisp Cantaloupe. Have you joined any challenges lately? What are your favorite ones?

CCC #12

Image
I am  still on my challenge kick. So this is my entry for CCC #12 . The colors we were suppose to use was Marina Mist, Soft Suede and Old Olive. I love this Christmas set as the song Silent Night reminds me of my Mom. I believe this set is retired. I also used retired dsp but the cardstock is Old Olive. I would have been creating and sharing earlier in the week but I had to have a emergency root canal. Yuck! So it took me a couple days to recover as I did a lot of sleeping and vegging in front of the tv. I hope you join this challenge. It is a lot of fun!

Lately,I have been on a kick to participate in challenges. I am finding that I am enjoying the color challenges the best. This is the card that I made for Pals Paper Arts . This challenge closes tomorrow Sept 9th at 9:00 am PST. If your wanting to join you still have time! The colors they called for was Blackberry Bliss, Hello Honey and Crumb Cake. I am really enjoying playing with my For All Things stamp set and Color me Autumn.  You can find those in the Holiday Catalog. If you are in need of one please let me know and I will be happy to send you one.  I liked the double stamp look. I think that is what it is called even though it was two different stamps and not the same one. If you’d like to try your hand in making this here’s the supply list. Thanks for looking and have a great day! Till next time!   Splitcoast Stampers does a color challenge every Tuesday. I love to read blogs and one of the blogs I read Hearts Hugs and Flowers posted about their challenge this week. So I decided to participate. You were to use the three colors it called for. Wild Wasabi, Basic Gray and Melon Mamba. You had a choice to make a summer card or a Christmas card with these non traditional colors. I chose to do the latter. Most of the things I used to make this card are retired.  But I am sure someone will appreciate this card come Christmas time. Have you started making your cards for the Holidays?

I am trying to challenge myself. So I have decided to participate in the card/color challenges you would see around the web. One blog I found that had a color challenge was this. Stylin' Stampin Inspiration You can find more info if you follow the link. The color scheme they had was Rich Razzleberry, Hello Honey and Calypso Coral. This is what I came up with. I used the Four Feather Stamp Set from the Holiday Catalog as well as the framelits that you can get in a bundle. I also used Blended Bloom and colored it with Calypso Coral Blendabilities.  In the picture of the 2 cards I had done that card for Creative Challenge Club . What do you do to challenge yourself or think out of the box? Hello Fall! CCC#11

Image
It is not quite fall yet but I couldn’t resist playing with some of the new product I had gotten recently from the holiday catalog  and to participate in Creative Challenge Clubs CCC#11. This week was a 3 color scheme and the challenge was to add a 4th color in. The colors I was challenged with was Pumpkin Pie, Island Indigo and Crushed Curry. I had to get creative with my Crushed Curry since I really didn’t have that color. A good thing that the dsp Color me Autumn came to my rescue. The 4th color I added was Mossy Meadow which I colored the top of my acorns with a Stampin’ Up! marker in that color. Please feel free to join in the challenge. The more the merrier. Also if 15 people participate you get a chance to be involved in a small shopping spree with Stampin’ Up! products. So are you ready for fall? What are you looking forward to the most? Here is a list of some of the items I used Color Me Autumn DSP 135820 For All Things 135155 Island Indigo Ink 126986 Island Indigo

A Different Take on Project Life

Image
The other day I had to make a few thank you cards for some of my customers. I was going to see them that night and had run out of time in making a more elaborate card. I remembered in the past that my upline Patty Bennett had shared what she had done with Project Life cards that Stampin’ Up! now sells. So here’s my take on making a thank you card and using Project Life elements. Have you ever designed something out of the box? Please share. I used a mix of retired and new product. But you can still get these few items in our big catalog.  If your in need of a catalog or a Holiday catalog please let me know and I will be happy to send one out to you. Quick Card Share

Image
My upline Patty Bennett is having a meeting in the middle of this month. So instead of sending my meeting payment in just a envelope I thought I would make a card. Last month I got the chance to play with our new Blendabilites and had gotten the new stamp called Blended Bloom to try out. I am a big purple lover so no surprise that I used Rich Razzleberry for the coloring. I also added a spot of Daffodil Delight and rhinestones. The purple dotted dsp is retired. Thanks for looking! Are you doing anything creative over the weekend? If I can be of any help in your crafting needs please feel free to leave me a message and I’ll get back to you. Take care!

Sail Away

Image
Hello there! As I told you in a earlier post I am participating in a monthly card swap. The theme for May was summer and this is what I came up with. I realized that I didn’t share this with all my fine blog readers so I figured I should remedy that! The stamp is a retired product called Sail Away. But the coloring was done with new product called Blendabilities. Which should be coming out soon that you may order. You can see the colors we have in our new catalog. I had a lot of fun with it as I love to color. What summer plans do you have this year? Thanks for stopping by!
