Sneak Peek, Weekly Deals and Poinsettia

This post is a little picture heavy as I have a few things to share.
The first two pictures are of things you can get in our upcoming Occasions Catalog. It will go live in January. If you are in need of one I’d be happy to help you out. Then in the 3rd picture is the weekly deals that are good from now till next Tuesday. And the last two pictures are the poinsettia's I made when I couldn’t sleep.
I made the poinsettia’s with the Punch Builder Festive Flower. Here are some pointers in how to make the poinsettia’s. I think I may make mine into card’s I haven’t decided yet.
8 Large Petals
4 Smaller Petals

2 Double Petals (the ones that look like a bikini top)
and for the base I punched out circles. Any size circle should be fine.
I also used the Encore Gold Ink to give it a little bit of a flair but there is a product coming in the new catalog that would be great for that effect also called Wink of Stella Glitter Brush and it comes in clear and gold.

I am not tech savvy and for some reason the link I wanted to share for supplies is not working for me. If there is something you want to know about more specifically please let me know and I will share the information.

Thank you for looking!

Pretty Envelope to go with Christmas Card

FullSizeRender (1)

Remember yesterday’s card share? Well I wanted to share what the envelope looked like that I made for it. The size of the card was 41/2 by 6. I love our punch board because I can make envelopes of all sizes. The cards I tend to make don’t necessarily  fit a standard size envelope. Down below you will find a list of supplies I used to make this. Thank you for coming by and have a creative day!

Dove of Peace Samples

As promised here are the samples I made with Dove of Peace.  My upline Patty Bennett was so gracious to give me her Dove of Peace stamp set once she was done with it. Her only ‘requirement’ was to make 3 samples to share. I shared with our group and thought I would share here to. I made a card using our Winter Wonderland Washi Tape and Vellum. I then made an ornament which I punched out and colored with our markers. My last sample was a card front which I colored and used retired stickers. Down below you will find a list of the products that you can still get. I also want to remind you if you really like this stamp set please act now as this was on the holiday retiring list. Have you made anything Christmas related yet? As always you can shop here Online Store

Stamp Out Breast Cancer!

I HATE cancer of any kind. Especially so when I lost my mother to Pancreatic cancer on April 15, 2011. So I love the fact that Stampin' Up! has joined with the Breast Cancer Research Foundation to show their support to stop this awful disease. If you are already subscribed to Paper Pumpkin  Stampin' Up! will donate on your behalf or if you become a new subscriber by October 10th. Here's the details from the website in case I wasn't clear in my own statements. I am not sure if the links will work or not. If they do not please contact me and I will be happy to help. Thank you for considering in supporting this worthy cause and you will get a fun project in your mail each month!
To show our support for Breast Cancer Awareness Month, we're going PINK . . . or at least our October boxes are! And because we know our subscribers want to share the love too, we will be making a donation on their behalf to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF).
Stampin' Up! will donate
  • $1 for every active Paper Pumpkin subscriber.
  • Plus, an additional $1 for every new subscriber.
Together, we will make a difference!
Here's how you can help:
  1. Subscribe! If you're new to Paper Pumpkin, click here to get started. Your first kit will arrive in a limited-edition pink box that you'll want to hold onto forever-and we'll donate $2 because you're new!
  2. Stay active if you're a subscriber so we can donate $1 for you. Only those who receive the October shipment will be counted for the donation.
  3. Spread the word! Help us get as many new subscribers as possible. Every current subscriber adds $1 and for new subscribers it's doubled, so let's get the word out and raise as much as possible.
Remember, those who get the October kit will not only be donating to a good cause, but they will also get a one-time only, pretty pink Paper Pumpkin box! No one will want to miss it. Promise.
More About BCRF

The Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF) advances the world's most promising research to eradicate breast cancer. Founded by Evelyn H. Lauder in 1993, BCRF has raised more than $550 million to fuel discoveries in tumor biology, genetics, prevention, treatment, survivorship and metastasis, making it one of the largest non-governmental funders of breast cancer research in the world. This year BCRF has invested $58.6 million in research, to support over 235 researchers at leading medical institutions across six continents, including $11.6 million to the international Evelyn H. Lauder Founder's Fund focused on metastasis. By spending 91 cents of every dollar on research and public awareness programs, BCRF remains one of the nation's most fiscally responsible nonprofits. BCRF is the only breast cancer organization with an "A+" from CharityWatch, and has been awarded Charity Navigator's highest rating of four stars 13 times since 2002. For more information, please visit: www.bcrfcure.org.

Additional Details:
  • New subscribers are those who signed up between September 11 and October 10, 2015and have not been a Paper Pumpkin subscriber at any time in the past.
  • All funds will be donated in US dollars.
  • Mini spoiler alert! The October project inside the pink box is just as awesome as always, but we should probably let you know that it is not a pink project. That's all we're saying. ;)
  • Funds will be donated based on number of subscribers instead of boxes shipped. But, if you want more than one pink box, you can always increase your subscription quantity by logging into your account at PaperPumpkin.com before October 10.

Color Combos and Card Shares

Butterflly basics colors

Sheltering Tree Card

Anchor Card

Congratulations Smarty Pants

I just wanted to  share with you a couple of things that have kept me busy. My up line Patty Bennett had our group come up with color combos that featured the in colors that are new this year. She wrote a post about it and showcased the colors that were given. You can see her post in the link that says Patty Bennett. The first picture was my take on the color combos.  I stamped the different colors with the Butterfly Basics stamp set. With it being graduation season, well now the tail end of it I made cards with new product and old a like. I also made a card for someone I know who has cancer and anchors is a special symbol to her.  You can also see down below some of the products that I used. What have you done lately?

Sprinkles of Life

I don’t have this yet. But I wanted to showcase one stamp set in particular.

Sprinkles of Life

Every year Stampin’ Up! makes a stamp for Ronald McDonald Charities. This year they will donate $3 to the charity for every stamp sold.

I remember when I was a kid and my sister was working in Fresno as a pharmacist the hospital she was working at was associated with RMHC. I loved that there was a program like that. You can find more info about RMHC in the inside back cover of our new catalog. But let me share the blurb anyway.

Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) keeps families together and surrounded by love when their children are receiving medical treatment far from home. Help Stampin’ Up! support more families through RMHC and the Ronald McDonald House program.

The above picture are samples of what you can find in our catalog that showcases this particular stamp. I can’t wait to get mine! Are you planning on getting one? If so what will you create? Thanks for stopping by!

MDS Ending soon and Special Offer Details

June 2 is the last day to buy downloads or place print orders with the 30 percent discount. After June 2, Stampin' Up! will no longer sell anything related to the My Digital Studio product line. On June 2, all Online Store categories will be replaced with new categories in support of the 2015-2016 annual catalog. The new categories will contain new and carryover items in the 2015-2016 annual catalog. All other items, including the MDS software and digital downloads, will be searchable and orderable, but not categorized. June 9 is the last day that Stampin' Up! will support the My Digital Studio product line. After June 9, all of the MDS websites will be taken down. That list includes MyDigitalStudio.net, related content on the stampinup.com demonstrator website, the download manager, YouTube videos, Facebook, and Pinterest. Make sure that you download and back up your digital downloads and software before June 9. For help with backing up files, see MyDigitalStudio.net/backup. All of Stampin' Up!'s digital downloads will be discontinued, including everything related to MDS, convention and leadership theme songs, photos, class recordings, and all of our other online classes. You will want to make sure to back up all of your digital download files before the cutoff on June 9. Our MDS playlist of YouTube videos on the Stampin' Up! channel will be available (for the foreseeable future) via the following link: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLB85C76B5B74DB19A MyMemories Suite Offer Software We have worked with excellent partners to make the My Digital Studio product line. We're pleased to announce that StoryRock, the partner who worked with us to develop the MDS software, has made an offer to Stampin' Up!'s customers and demonstrators. Some MDS users may know that the original MDS software was based on StoryRock's award-winning MyMemories Suite software. While the two softwares have diverged over the years, there are still many similarities--which we feel confident will enable MDS users to experience an easy transition to MyMemories Suite. MyMemories version 6 software is normally available for $39.99 USD, but StoryRock has cut the price to $19.99 USD for anyone who purchases the software via this special offer. Print Starting on June 3, StoryRock will make a number of additional print products available through the latest version of the MyMemories software. Stampin' Up! has worked with StoryRock to introduce some of our most popular print products, like additional card, photobook, and calendar options and sizes. We will post a detailed list of those products and StoryRock's prices on MyDigitalStudio.net on June 3. Artwork While Stampin' Up! will not sell any digital downloads after June 2, we have reached an agreement with StoryRock to offer a limited number of our existing digital downloads for sale via a Stampin' Up! section of the MyMemories.com online store. You can expect to see a limited selection of digital downloads appearing on the MyMemories.com online store over the next few months. The price for downloads through the MyMemories.com online store may vary, but it will definitely be in your best interest to purchase the downloads available through Stampin' Up! at a 30 percent discount until they are no longer available after June 2. This content will not be new to you, but it will give you the opportunity to catch additional digital downloads you may have wanted and missed while our digital downloads were available for sale. Do I need to switch to MyMemories Suite? Stampin' Up! will no longer support the MDS software after June 9, 2015. MDS will continue to work on existing computers for the foreseeable future. However, you will no longer be able to print directly from MDS after June 2, and it is very probable that the software will not work with the upcoming Windows PC and Mac operating systems. It is also possible that other critical component updates like Java may cause the software to stop working as intended. In short, if you would like to continue with digital design on a supported platform, we recommend that you switch to the latest version of MyMemories Suite. MyMemories Suite consistently rates very high, we know and recommend the developers, and as we have mentioned, it is very similar to MDS. Stampin' Up! will not provide support for switching your MDS projects and files over to MyMemories Suite, but StoryRock will be more than happy to help.

Adventure Awaits and Adventure Bound

I just wanted to do a quick share of the samples I made for our Luv2Stamp group meeting we had today. The last few months we have had our meetings online and I personally love it. I used the packet that Patty (my upline) gave us to use. You may also notice that my watermark looks different. I used Picmonkey that is a free photo editor to play with the watermark. If you are interested in any of the supplies I used you can find the list below. I also wanted to remind you that the end of the month is only 10 days away and that is when SAB (FREE!) items go away until next year. Please let me know if there is anything I can help you with papercraft wise. Have a great day and thanks for stopping by!

February Meeting Samples

Feb Meeting Samples 2015

I just wanted to do a quick share today. As I shared previously I am part of Patty's down line.  Our group is called Luv2Stamp. We have been doing our meetings online lately. These were the projects we worked on. I love it! So pretty! You can get these items to make them through our Occasions catalog. We made 2 cards and a gift box out of the box that the embellishments came out of. I already have in mind who I will be giving the 2 cards too. I am thinking of placing another order soon so I can pick up more of the Artisan Embellishment Kit.  Thanks for stopping by! I hope these samples have inspired you to play with items you might have gotten in the Occasions catalog! Down below you will find a list of supplies to make these projects. If I can be of any help to you on these projects or anything Stampin’ Up! related please let me know. I will be happy to help and thank you!

Valentines and January Meeting Projects

be mine

January 2015 Team projects

You and Me

I had some time last night to work on Valentine cards. Nothing like waiting until the last minute!  I also wanted to share the projects I made in January. I am part of Patty Bennett’s down line. We have changed our meetings where most of the meetings will be held online. The third picture shows what we made. The last picture is a card I made for the meeting as a virtual share. It was my take on a card they showed in the new Occasions catalog.  Between the two Valentines I made last night I like the Be Mine card the best. I love that with Stampin’ Up! products they all come together. Did you make Valentine cards this year? Are you part of a Stampin’ Up! team? I would love for you to be in mine. In need of a catalog? Please feel free to drop me a line here Melinda Hoover. Down below you will see a list of the products I used to make these products. Thanks for stopping by and have a creative day!

Lotus Blossom

lotus blossom

I just wanted to do a quick share. I was able to make these cards with the Lotus Blossom stamp set. You can get this stamp set for FREE until the end of March when you place a $50 order. This stamp only comes in photopolymer. This kind of material for stamps is fast becoming a favorite for me. I love how it sticks to my block. Certain colors will stain your stamp but it will not prevent you from making a perfect image with a different color. When you are using a photopolymer stamp I’d recommend having padding under your stamp surface such as our piercing mat. (126199) I believe this is my favorite stamp ever. I am having so much fun with it.  I stamped my flowers in the different pinks and purples we have. The stems in the greens we have. Thanks for stopping by!
